Description
File naming and upload procedures are inherent to Building Information Modeling (BIM) execution plans. Lee Kennedy Co.'s MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) coordinators in the field were using Navisworks software, reloading files to project FTP sites constantly, and experiencing difficulties managing updated models. As the company transitioned to BIM 360 Glue software, file management issues that were once a barrier to efficiency became a distant memory. This class will discuss the lessons learned implementing BIM 360 Glue software across the Lee Kennedy organization, as well as the methods utilized to train project teams on collaboration in the cloud.
Key Learnings
- Learn how to transition from a traditional model-file collaboration and coordination process to BIM 360 Glue in the cloud
- Learn how to structure your BIM execution plan to provide the framework for BIM 360 Glue use and adoption
- Learn how to best train project trades to utilize BIM 360 Glue
- Learn how to internally triumph the use of the cloud to manage project coordination
