This data is stored in 1 of 3 connected drives:
00:18
Autodesk Docs, Autodesk Drive, and Autodesk Fusion.
00:23
You can access menu options, switch connectors,
00:26
and monitor your file and folder activities from the Desktop Connector home screen.
00:31
To open the home screen, in the system tray, click the Desktop Connector icon.
00:36
Now, click the home screen header to expand a drop-down that includes the 3 connectors.
00:42
For this example, select each connector to view and switch among the different home screens.
00:49
Next, right-click the Desktop Connector tray icon to access the Help menu.

Allows you to submit offline feedback directly to the Autodesk Desktop Connector product team.
01:27
Help: Opens a submenu with access to online Help and other options,
01:33
such as Privacy Settings and Diagnostic Logs.
01:36
The other main use of the Desktop Connector home screen
01:40
is to monitor the progress of data uploads and resolve any errors.
01:45
Open two separate File Explorer windows—one with the desktop files that you want to upload,
01:51
and another open to the destination folder in your project hub,
01:54
such as Project Files > 01-Data.
01:58
In the home screen, ensure that the connector you want to use is selected—in this case, Autodesk Docs.
02:05
In the first Explorer window, select the files you want to upload,
02:10
including files of multiple formats.
02:12
Right-click the selection and click Copy.
02:15
Then, inside the 01-Data folder window, right-click and choose Paste.
02:21
The file details appear, and in the Status column,
02:24
you can see that the files are syncing with the cloud.
02:28
From the home screen, you can check the progress of the upload,
02:31
and if an operation fails, you see an error message, enabling easy resolution.
02:36
For this example, you see that files are successfully uploaded.
02:42
Note that Desktop Connector does not attempt to upload file types that Autodesk Docs lists as unsupported.
