Speakers
- ECEric CylwikEric is the modeling engineer for Sundt's Transportation and Infrastructure division. Before working for the Civil division, Eric focused on adapting Building Information Modelings (BIM) from the office to the field for concrete. He now focuses on creating BIMs that highlight technology’s capability to enhance construction performance in the field. Focusing on infrastructure, Cylwik has been able to capitalize on parametric modeling to create construction-quality bridge, road, and trench models that are used for survey surfaces, machine control, quantity takeoffs, utility coordination, constructability reviews, and visualizations. Cylwik has helped Sundt procure over $1 billion of alternative delivery method projects. He graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in design studies with an emphasis in digital visualization. He is also a certified professional in several vertical and horizontal BIM and virtual design and construction software programs.
- LGLiam GallagherAs Director of Digital Delivery for Infrastructures at Jacobs, Liam is responsible for aligning emerging technology strategies, programs, and solutions with our infrastructure strategic objectives. An active participant in the development of the Jacobs Innovation program, he drives improvement in the automation of Jacobs project delivery for Infrastructure in BIM implementations. Liam is currently seconded to Jacobs’ key client (Highways England) in the role of Head of BIM for the Smart Motorways program. This is a £5 Billion investment with 43 projects delivered by 15 tier 1 Design and Construction companies. A past speaker at Autodesk University, Liam has over 20 years of technology and BIM relevant experience, and a proven track record of delivering BIM solutions across a wide variety of major projects and sectors including rail, highways, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, nuclear and defence.
- CAChris AndrewsChris Andrews is an experienced product management and technology leader who thrives on solving problems, establishing high performance teams, and connecting people and businesses in positive collaborations. Chris started off as the the senior product manager for 3D across the ArcGIS platform at Esri, based in Southern California. Almost five years later, Chris now leads a team of product managers with responsibility for ArcGIS Hub, ArcGIS Excalibur, 3D, ArcGIS Urban, AEC/CAD/BIM offerings, ArcGIS Business Analyst and more. Chris has focused on strategic innovation, defining and driving to production new products at top tier software companies. He strives to positively impact millions of users through better experience and by connecting data and technology to solve problems. He is active on social media and provides mentoring on 3D, product management, and technical career growth.
- Jerome ChamfrayJérôme is Chief Geo-Digital Engineer at Jacobs. He has over 19 years’ experience of leading 3D design and engineering drawing preparation for major projects involving earthworks, tunneling, infrastructure and building projects. His current focus is on the further development of BIM and Digital Engineering approaches for Ground Engineering and Tunnelling projects. He’s expertise is centered on BIM, data management, drawing production and ground modelling using AGS geotechnical data combined with 3D spatial information. He is an experienced user of Civil 3D, HoleBASE, AutoCAD and has GIS experience. Further to the application of his experience, he has developed a parametric modelling approach on Linear schemes resulting in large time and cost savings. His wide range of expertise and valuable knowledge have led him to be identified as a technical expert on large multidisciplinary projects in South Africa, Middle East and the UK.
- Wouter BulensWouter Bulens has been an active user of Autodesk AEC software solutions for 20 years. He holds a degree as a professional drafter and a master’s degree in industrial science-construction. In his professional career he has been active on numerous civil engineering projects in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and some international tenders, as road- and rail designer. He is currently BIM manager for the Belgian rail engineering firm TUC RAIL. He has focused his career on 3D modeling for multidisciplinary civil projects and process optimization for: drafting, render visualization, 4D animations, real-time applications, project SE and design platform integration. As .NET developer (API), he has made tools for 3ds Max, AutoCAD and Civil 3D. He is part of the Civil 3D Rail development group, helping to push not just rail design but transport and infrastructure design forward. He has been a presenter at the last two Rail Summits 2018-2019 and the transportation symposium at AU Vegas 2019.
- NSNigel StroudNigel has worked for 33 years in the construction industry, Implementing Digital Asset Information strategies and evangelising in efficient data workflows. His focus is always on a single source of data, retaining value and providing decision making capabilities for a diverse customer base. As a practitioner, he has adopted a 'keep it real' approach enabling usable and sustainable solutions to be adopted. His manufacturing and assembly background have utilised his analytical skills to develop and implement time saving processes. He was privileged to have worked for the duration of Heathrow's Terminal 5 and Terminal 2 programmes, setting up and on-going management of the Common Data Environment and digital deliverable processes. He is currently working on implementing a companywide digital asset information change strategy.
